JANUARY 11: Spring 2015 semester begins for MFA students at imgresLesley University. My mentor is Tony Eprile, author of THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY. For my thesis, Tony and I decide to trim my novel A LIFE INTERRUPTED down to 30,000 words and present as a novella. I am so lucky to have him as my advisor, as he is an expert in the form (as well as being strong on craft).

JANUARY 2-10: Fourth semester residency at Lesley University, Cambridge MA. Getting ready for that last semester and all the thesis requirements!

JUNE 29: Fall 2014 semester begins for MFA students at Lesley University. My mentor is Hester Kaplan, author or “The Edge of Marriage,” a collection of edgy short stories about the nature of relationships, some written from the point of view of the male. Sooo, I take the opportunity to write four NEW short stories for her that semester. And write an 18-page craft essay. A grueling but exciting semester!

JUNE 20-28: Third semester residency at Lesley University, Cambridge MA. My favorite so far with truly wonderful insights provided about revision by A. J. Verdelle.

JANUARY 12: Spring 2014 semester begins for MFA students of Lesley University. My new mentor is Christina Shea, author of SMUGGLED, a page-turner of a novel set in Hungary and Rumania during World War II and the subsequent Cold War.

JANUARY 3-11: Second semester residency at Lesley University, Cambridge MA.

JUNE 30: Fall 2013 semester begins for MFA students of Lesley University. I’m so lucky to have as my mentor Rachel Kadish, author of TOLSTOY LIED.

JUNE 21-29: First semester residency at Lesley University, Cambridge MA.

SPRING 2013: Accepted into Lesley University’s MFA program in Creative Writing.

Thwarted Queen: A Saga About the Yorks, Lancasters and Nevilles, Whose Family Feud Started the Wars of the Roses is historical fiction at its best, an account which takes the real-world stories of a woman trapped by power and her husband, a Royal duke, who faces  down his political opponents, and melds their lives into an exciting fictional drama.” Diane Donovan, MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW.

“THWARTED QUEEN” is extremely interesting and cleverly written-I was completely enthralled!” Lucy Bertoldi, HISTORICAL NOVEL SOCIETY.
