Today we had a beautiful morning in Washington D. C., sunny, with cool breezes freshening up the warming heat of the sun. I went to the Pentagon Memorial as part of my weekend tribute to all those who lost their lives in the tragedy ten years ago. It was also a personal tribute, for I lost my father ten years ago today. Yes, he died a day after 9/11, finally losing his two-year battle with liver cancer.
I went to visit the Pentagon Memorial today, to enjoy the lovely weather, the stillness and quiet
of an early Monday morning, and the tasteful park that has been created to honor those who lost their lives. I also went to give myself some quiet time to remember Daddy.
